<p>I am a rising Junior by my GPA should be be 3.3UW....But I hear CMU doesn't count freshmen year which was REALLY bad(depressed,new to town)... If this true my GPA would be a 3.5UW or so.</p>

<p>I think you can apply to three colleges on your application, so you can do SCS, CIT, and MCS (computer science, engineering, and sciences).</p>
<p>Your chances seem alright, though CMU has said they're interested in "well rounded" applicants, so hopefully there's some outside activities you're passionate about. I'd also try to get the GPA up as much as possible since they do still care about that.</p>

<p>yeah definitely. you have to apply to a school though. your sat's are ok, but if you're doing CIT your math should be 750+, preferably an 800.</p>
