Do I have a shot at an appeal to UCLA,SB, and Irvine?

So here's my stats:
GPA: 3.71 weighted
SAT:1440
ACT:21

Extra-curriculars:
Key Club, 2 years, junior and senior year
Asian Club, 2 years, frosh and soph year

Volunteer work:
Youth Center,9-11th grade, 156 hours total
KEAP Program(tutoring kids etc), 12th grade, 50 hours total
ACCUMULATED HOURS TOTAL= 206 HOURS

I regrettably didn't include my personal struggles or hardships in my UC app, I have no idea why I didn't do so. So here's what I plan to add in my appeal:

-In my freshman and soph year of high school I was bullied which caused a slip in my grades. I will explain how I had to cope and overcome this challenge.

-(A lack of AP/IB classes probably resulted in my rejection) My English teacher sophomore year was responsible for assigning our English classes next school year, but he opted to give me college prep classes instead of AP/IB classes. I signed up for honors History, but due to limited seats I wasn't able to get a spot in the classes (my only honors classes in junior and senior year was science).

-In junior year my house was burglarized, and thieves stole literally everything (which included my laptop which had all my family pictures and essays), and it robbed my family of security. I will explain how overcame this and how my grades dipped because of this.

I do not think your grades were the problem. Your SAT and ACT scores were most likely not high enough to get you into UCLA where the average admitted student scores are in the 1900 to 2000 range. An appeal would probably change their decision if you had SAT scores of around 1800 or better.

The only way an appeal can help you is if you have new information that could help the admissions readers. If you really believe that this information could make the difference, I would go for it. What do you have to lose? And why didn’t you include it the first time around???

In a word: No. Your test scores are too low. Do you have other decent options? If not, go the cc route and transfer.
