I have been wanting to attend UCLA for the past four years (which I know is horrible basis for an appeal, but I am just using it as background information for you), I have done everything humanely possible in my school and community to increase my chances of getting accepted. Sadly, on March 11th, I was rejected from UCLA (Political Science), but it did not stop me from wanting to appeal.

Some facts about me: I was elected student body president, I am president of two clubs at my school (California Scholarship Federation and Junior Statesmen of America), I have been involved in theater production all throughout high school, I played on the volleyball team for two years, I intern for Senator Elaine Alquist, I am the Chairperson of my cities Youth Commission (which acts like a supplement council to City Council on matters pertaining to the youth), and I was chosen as a Boys' State Delegate in 2010.

Stats-

All this information is included in my UC application. However, since I submitted my application, things have changed.

I have started working in order to be able to attend college, I am head of a charity project at my school called which aids foster children as they transition from school to school, I started the first ever city wide talent show which has brought my city together in order to raise money for community service scholarships, my GPA has increased to a 4.2, I am co-chair of a College and Resource fair that will be happening in my city which I helped put on.

I feel like unlike many other applicants, I have not gotten lazy my senior year. I continued doing what I do best, which is helping others out. So far, I have my letters of recommendation set to send out (1 from the Senator's assistant, 1 from the English Department Chair at my school), I have my transcript ready, and now I need to work on my letter.

I was hoping you could help me by telling me what I should include in my appeal letter. As in, what should I say? What should I focus on? Is my appeal going to be pointless? Should I put in extra stuff in my appeal (I heard of someone that had a 21 page appeal and got into UCLA)?
