Do I have a shot at Harvard?

I moved to the U.S. from Argentina in January and have lived in several countries (I'm actually from Brazil)

My core GPA which I was told is the one that matters is 3.8

My SAT scores are 730 Critical Reading 610 Math and 660 Writing

I have pretty nice extracurriculars. I founded the Creative Writing club at my school in Argentina, was the leader of guitars in my school orchestra and was the varsity volleyball captain among other stuff like participating in my schools model UN, the Argentinean National Biology Olympics (I won an honorable mention for being 25 out of 1000) and winning several awards in poetry and short stories both in English and in Spanish.

Do I have a shot at Harvard? Or is it impossible with my academics? If so, are there any other top tier colleges that I might get into?

Nobody knows how it is going to turn out. To clarify it, everybody has a chance. You EC seems good but your SAT is pretty low when it is compared to the average SAT score of Harvard. I have a friend with perfect gpa, 2390 sat and 800 on 5 sat II’s. He took around 13 AP and had incredible EC but he was denied to harvard. Even though he did get into yale, there was another guy who got into harvard. His stat was low compared to my friend because his gpa was 3.7, 2250 sat. I don’t know other thing but i heard that it was teachers rec and essay is what got him into the harvard. So I guess nobody knows who will get in or not.

Just trust yourself and write a amazing essay. Good luck !

sorry for the bad grammar, I am an international student.
