Do I have a shot? UC..

I'm a white male.
I'm going to be a senior in high school.
I go to a very small public school.
I am ranked number 1.
I will be the valedictorian at our graduation.
The only honors class available since I have been there was Honors Calculus.
I took that and got an A.

My non-weighted gpa is 4.0

My school is just now offering more honors classes so next year I'm taking.
AP Biology.
Honors Chemistry
Honors Physics
Gov/Econ
Spanish 2
English 12
Guitar
PE
4x4 schedule is why I have 8 classes.

I just recently attended California Boys State. I'm not sure if that plays a factor at all.

I worked on an internship at UCLA with professor Ivan Catton over this summer as well. He is an engineering professor and has a research lab. I interned as a lab assistant and studied heat transfer with him. He will be writing a letter of recommendation for me.

I would like to be an Engineer. I'm not sure which type yet.

My sat's were horrid. I took them without any prep and didn't study at all.
Poor choice on my part. I don't even want to post them.
CR-490 Math-670 Writing-470(ouchh)

I will be retaking my sat's!
I haven't done the subject tests yet.

I played football during freshman and sophomore year.
I have played baseball every year.
I will be doing cross country, basketball, as well as baseball next year.

For community service I coach a little league team.
I have done this for two years now.

I know getting into ucla will be a stretch but let me know if I stand a chance at all.

because of ur SATs, UCB, UCLA, and UCSD will be difficult. However, with ECs like those, and if you can boost ur SATs a little bit, you definitely have a shot at UCSD, maybe even UCLA. Good luck! :D

Does anyone know about the elc program where the top 4 percent of the graduating class get automatically accepted into UC’s and CSU’s?

Ugh. Sorry for the double post.
These are the schools I’m going to apply to.
UCLA
UC San Diego
UC Santa Barbara
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
CSU Long Beach
San Diego State

UCLA - reach (raise raise raise SAT scores)
UCSD - high match
UCSB - match
Cal Poly SLO - match
CSULB - match
SD - match

In my experience, ELC gets you an automatic acceptance to a UC, namely Merced or Riverside.

UCLA- reach
UCSD- reach
UCSB- reach
Cal Poly SLO- match
CSULB- in
SDSU- in

just raise your SATs and you’ll look a lot better.

oh, and ELC just guarantees acceptance to A UC, not the UC you are necessarily applying to. So if you end up like me, they will offer you a spot at the wonderful campuses in Merced and Riverside (/sarcasm).
