do I have any chance at all? (American high school student)

The city of Montreal is breathtaking and that, in addition to McGill's great reputation, is highly appealing to me. However I'm a little unsure of whether I should even bother applying. I'm an American and a rising senior in high school.

My cumulative GPA is a 3.7 UW, 4.0 W.
I have taken mostly honors classes.
My school doesn't rank but based on my transcript & weighted GPA I'm in the top 30%.

I took 1 AP junior year (US History - 5).

This year I am taking AP Literature, AP US Gov't & Politics, AP Psychology, Calc & Stats Honors, Spanish IV Honors, French III, and a UConn Early College Experience (Family & Individual Development) class.

Scores:
SAT I: 1980 (CR 650, M 550, W 780 essay 10)
ACT: 26 (probably going to stick with the SAT)
SAT IIs: USH 760, Lit 620

I know I can definitely bring my SAT score up to 2000. Retaking in October and SAT II in November.

I have a variety of academic interests, most of which are in the humanities area... if I were to apply it'd probably be for the Faculty of Arts or Education.

Absolutely. A 3.7 GPA will make you a competetive applicant anywhere in canada. It does vary based on what program you intend to take but arts and education don’t have as high cutoffs as something like arts & science.

So yes you should “bother to apply”.

Definitely apply! your scores are good so you have a chance >50% for sure
