-George Washington University(My unlce went there and hes one of the most well known investment bankers in the country now)- don't know

-NYU(CAS)(Economics)- reach

-Georgetown- huge reach

-American University- don't know

-Carnegie Mellon- huge reach

Try to raise your SAT scores. As for now, they are too low for these schools.

I am not sure about Georgetown or American U, but you are not going to stand a very good chance at NYU/CAS or CMU to be honest at your current SAT scores or UW GPA, which I figured to be slightly more than 3.0 or 3.1. That Math SAT score is going to hurt you a lot, since Economics can be a math intensive subject.

hmm...you people make good points...but lets say i hit 600-650+ on my MathI SATII...will that increase my chances at,lets say,NYU...im not really expecting an admit to Gtown or CMU but i thought i might get lucky with NYU.....our school sends lots of ppl to top schools...2 years ago a guy went to MIT with an 1860 and last year a girl got into Penn with a 2000...

anyone else???

I find it quite unbelievable that someone will get into MIT with a 1860. Did s/he get an international Olympiad medal or something?

Sorry to say it but I can't imagine you getting accepted anywhere on your list, except maybe American U. Your grades/scores simply don't cut it. Only thing that might possibly keep you in the game is your ECs, which don't look too shabby.

Not to scare you but I'm in NYU CAS Class of '12, and my combined SAT was more than 400 points higher than yours (and I was sick when I took it too lol). I suggest retaking until you have at least 600 on each section.

Sorry if I was too harsh :(

nope...no international medals..his math score was a 690 adn he got into Dartmouth and Caltech as well...rejeced by Stanford and waitlisted by Harvard

nope bdl108...nothing you say can make me change my mind or take the SAT again,im sure im going to hit 1850+ on the november test, and i just added Brown to my common app...so yeah...hopefully my essays,Ecs and no-financial aid status will help there...thanks for the advice though and good luck at NYU..guess i'll see you if you plan on transfering to Brown sometime:D
