I might apply ED. Should I? This is my dream school. Will it help my chances?

Definitely apply ED if it's your first choice school. GPA is good, activities are good, SAT/SAT II are kinda low, so raise your scores. good luck!

what school are you applying to? that has an effect. I got in with SAT of 1850 and way fewer extra-curriculars than you but I did have a GPA of 4.0 and I'm international and in Tisch so the audition/portfolio was a factor too.

I got in CAS (but was surprised...thought maybe GSP) but applied ED. I also had a low math SAT, but had a 2030 combined with a 780 in reading. That along with being a journalism major (they knew I wasn't gonna go into math or science) with strong writing-related EC's, rec's and an "A" in an NYU writing course the previous summer probably helped tip the scales for me (had similar unweighted GPA as you)

That said, I think you need to pick up at least a 150 more SAT points and redo or select another SAT II to replace the spanish grade...quick but in everything else and apply early....you might get lucky (I think I did!)

i'm shooting for a similar SAT score as you, so hopefully that will increase my chances by a lot.

so, should i definitely declare my major then? (english/journalism) because all my bad grades (b's and a few c's) are in math and science, haha. i always get a's in english and spanish, etc.

i was really surprised by how low my spanish subject test was, but yeah, i'm gonna opt for something different when i retake them.

I think the common app asks for projected major or field of study, they have Journalsim and creative writing in CAS, I think with Journalism they said you are REQUIRED to have a second major (I think it has to be within CAS)

Los SAT dos en historia estan bastante faciles (Creo que mas facil que espanol)
