<p>Btw, Finance is not a major but a track and you would be applying to CMU's arguably most selective college of Tepper. Sift through this year's Tepper accepted students thread (if its still there) for a better look at your chances. Or just wait a few months for the data to come out for a more comprehensive look.</p>
<p>However, with many APs and a higher weighted GPA and then a retake of the SAT with 2200+ with good SAT II subject scores will give you a shot. Acceptees usually have Ivy-esque credentials.</p>
<p>I'm not sure that you need to be Ivy League material, although CMU is quite selective. I'd say if you could try and get 700 or better on each of your SAT sections you'd be more of a high match instead of a reach. and also try to get your gpa to the A range (is that 90+ at your school?) your ECs are pretty good.
