I'm an Asian junior going into senior year in New Jersey, and man did I mess up my first 2 years... I pretty much got straight Bs in Freshman year (No honors), straight B+s sophomore year (once again, no honors) and finally in Junior year I've ended up with mostly A/A-s for all my classes and can finally get into the upper level classes.

I am planning on taking 3 APs next year, the max I can take, but I know senior year doesn't count much. I got a 2140 on my SAT which wasn't bad, but given my demographic I don't think it's too impressive. I have plenty of volunteer hours at different places but my extracurriculars are pretty weak - I participate in clubs but don't get involved enough to get officer positions. I am also gonna take 2 SAT subject tests, history and lit, and will probably do decent on those.

I am hoping that if I do well in my first senior semester, colleges can at least notice improvement, but I know it won't be much. All my friends have much better credentials and I don't want to be the mess-up. At this point, I'm scared about even making it into Rutgers, which is essentially the minimum underachiever college in my parent's views.

So with my lowly 3.4 GPA and 2140 SAT score, do you guys think I can get accepted to Rutgers or better?
