This year my EFC for FAFSA is 11000 ish, so I dont qualify for Pell Grant. I am wonder if there is a chance I can still get Cal grant :? (wishfully hoping!)

I actually got both for 2010-2011, kind of a long story though since I think it was a mistake that was never fixed. (My school's mistake, not something intentional I did to cheat!)

I transferred mid year this Spring from a community college to Cal State Fullerton, so the tuition is so much more.

I have not told my dad that we didnt qualify yet, I want to make sure if theres any slight chance we can still get Cal Grant! He wont be pleased if we don't get anything...

If we can't get Calgrant, am I still eligible for any federal loans? Do I have to fill out a bunch of info again like we did for FAFSA?

Questions:
Did you & one of your parents fill out the FAFSA for this year? If so-
Have your received your SAR? If so-
Have you checked with the financial aid office @CSUFullerton?
After all the above, it will help you to talk to your Dad ASAP.

PS…you will have to fill out a bunch of forms again-for each year you attend college-plan on it.

For Cal Grants, you just have to do your FAFSA on time AND have your school submit the GPA Verification Form. If you are renewing a cal grant, you don’t need the gpa form again.

Check this website <a href=“CSAC - Student Landing Home”>CSAC - Student Landing Home; because someone
on these boards posted that they got a cal grant so I logged on and mine was
updated also for 2011-2012. Our final FAFSA was submitted about a week ago.
