i'm going to send in my ACT scores, not my SAT. but for schools requiring SAT II scores, do i have to send SAT scores instead of ACT? i read somewhere that if i send in SAT II scores, i can't send ACT scores.

As long as the school doesn’t require you to report all scores you should be fine sending the ACT and SAT II.

so, if the school requires all scores, then i have to send in all of my ACt, all of my SAT, and all of my subject tests??!

If you are going to send in the SAT II then you need to send in the SAT as well. Check the details on the individual school’s sites.

False, all schools accept either the SAT or ACT. ‘Or’ means one or the other, so you do not have to send both an SAT AND ACT score. All scores required does not apply to SAT IIs unless explicitly stated, not to mention the basic logic involved: Sending no SAT Is does not use score choice otherwise you would always been using score choice during every second that you didn’t send scores which is not true. Once you send one score but not the rest, that breaks score choice (does not apply to SAT II, unless explicity stated). Not sending any SAT I scores is not score choice.

There are differing rules at different schools.

If SAT II is required whether you submit SAT I or ACT, those schools don’t require you to submit both. However there are schools like UPenn which require either SAT 1+2 or ACT but ifyou decide to submit ACT + SAT IIs even though they are not required with ACT, they want you to submit your entire history related SAT.
