Do I HAVE to send my SAT scores if they're on my transcript?

See question above

No, many schools I applied to accepted the SAT scores on my transcript as official so I didn’t have to pay extra to get CB to send them. This wasn’t usually the case for top schools, however, who want to see the the definitive proof from CB.

errr…see idk where to find that information on the school’s websites

Just do it. You’ll be 100% sure.

lol it gets costly though…

Just send your score reports to top colleges but wait on less selective colleges. When you go check the status of the completeness of your application sometimes if they’ve already gotten your transcript it’ll say they already have your SAT scores. That’s the way you can tell.

University of Rochester accepted the scores on my transcript. On the other hand, BU was adamant on seeing the report from CB.

Of course, this may be a bit time consuming if the school is rolling admissions. It all depends if you want to save the extra $8.50 (whatever the price is now) or not.

The information about SAT scores should be on the pages with all the Admissions stuff. Sometimes in the FAQ. Or do a search.

All of the schools my DS has applied to wanted scores sent. They specifically said scores on the transcripts would not be acceptable.

Okay, I e-mailed my “early action” schools to see if I can do it

Like others have said, it depends on the school. E-mail them to be certain if it doesn’t say either way on their website.

Just do it if you can’t find any clear information on their website. I’m sure you hate giving the CB money, but don’t screw yourself over.
