do i have to send my scores to all the colleges?

When filling out the SAT form from October I was asked where I wanted to send my scores. If i'm applying to 9 schools do i have to send them to those 9 schools or do the colleges have some access to Collegeboard, because from what I understand I'd have to pay about 50 dollars. And what if you want to superscore? how will colleges know your scores are legitimate if you didn't send your old scores?

The USC part I app is due next week and my Oct scores won't come back till next next week, so I'm thinking of putting USC on my mailing list of scores so that they'll get it around the same time they get part I of the app. But I recently was told that I actually have to send my scores to all my colleges so that they know it's official.

No school will accept your word for your scores.

You have until midnight (well, 11:59p) Monday the 13th to request your four free reports from the Oct. 4 test.

Each extra report costs $9.50. Obviously, if you apply early to 4 with the free reports and get into your dream school, maybe you’ll never need to pay for one.

The report shows all SAT I and SAT II (subject) tests you’ve ever taken. When you are logged into your SAT account, you can see the report.

The college will handle the superscoring (if the college does, in fact, superscore).

All schools accept Oct., Nov. and, in some cases, Dec. scores for the purpose of pending EA/ED apps. Don’t ever pay the rush fee for score delivery!

The most important thing to remember about an application deadline is, that date is firm as to YOU, the student. Schools make allowance for late receipt of third party materials (up to a point, of course). As long as you have timely requested third-party submissions, e.g., College Board score reports, no worries. It is a good idea to check with the college two weeks after you submitted everything to see if they have all of your scores, GC report, recs, etc. The school will follow up with you about any items that remain outstanding.

Good luck!
