"Incoming UCLA students are encouraged to submit their immunization/vaccination history to the Ashe Secure Portal. "
“The University of California, Los Angeles recommends that all incoming students provide
documentation of vaccination or immunity to mumps, measles, rubella, tetanus,
pertussis, meningococcal, varicella, and Hepatitis B, and screening for tuberculosis,
consistent with guidelines of the American College Health Association, California
Department of Public Health, and the CDC.”

However, my friend told me that I have to submit it before I enroll. Now i get confused
Just submit it when you can and you will be alright.
Calling the school may be a good idea.
If you are not a grad student, and not under 18 and planning to live in the dorms, you DO NOT have to submit anything.
Its ‘recommended/encouraged’, its not a requirement.
There is a 3-year phase in of it being required. If you don’t have vaccinations, you should get them. Particularly meningococcus.
From http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/uc-plans-require-vaccinations-incoming-students :
“The plan is being phased in over three years. The first phase focuses on building awareness among students about the upcoming requirement, with all fall 2015 incoming UC students receiving notification of the recommended vaccines and the process for making them mandatory. The intent of the plan is to set a baseline for all of UC, but does not prevent individual campuses from setting immunization standards for all students, or implementing the plan more rapidly.”

If you don’t want to send them obviously that means you don’t have vaccinations. Bad move. I suggest everyone get vaccinations - and then just send it in. It’s kind of scary to think some aren’t getting them completed.
