Does everyone get this email?

Although these are not admission requirements failure to comply will result in a hold on future registration. If you were a student enrolled in a California school for the seventh grade or higher on or after July 1, 1999, you have satisfied the requirements for Hepatitis B and for Measles/Rubella.

Entering CSULB students who have not satisfied these requirements must comply with the following:

o Measles and Rubella Immunization: All new and readmitted students born after January 1, 1957 must provide proof of full immunization against measles and rubella prior to enrollment.

o Hepatitis B Immunization: All first time enrollees 18 years of age or younger at the start of their first term at CSULB must provide proof of full immunization against Hepatitis B before enrolling. Full immunization against Hepatitis B consists of three timed doses of vaccine over a minimum 4 to 6 months period.

o Meningococcal Disease Information: Each incoming freshman who will be residing in on-campus housing will be required to return a form to housing indicating that they have received information about meningococcal disease and the availability of the vaccine.

Measles/Rubella & Hepatitis B clearance is obtained by presenting to Student Health Services any of the following:

o a medical immunization record showing dates of shots given, or
o a record of blood tests showing immunity, or
o receiving immunization(s), or
o a request for medical or personal religious exemption.

Acceptable proof may be by records from high school, private health care providers, or local health departments. For more information call (562) 985-4771 or visit the website Student Health Services, CSULB.

Thank you for your cooperation in meeting the University requirement.

I received the above email earlier this week but not sure if I should look into this further or if everyone is sent the same email??? I figured it would show up on the MyCSULB "to do" list if I had to provide proof, but I have no to do's listed.

I meet this requirement: "If you were a student enrolled in a California school for the seventh grade or higher on or after July 1, 1999, you have satisfied the requirements for Hepatitis B and for Measles/Rubella." However, when I check the website for SHS it says that's only good for public schools and I went to a private school. Plus I haven't been to the doctor in years since our family doctor retired; so I'm not sure how I could get proof of immunization if I in fact do need it. I guess I could get the vaccine at the school but I'm don't want to waste $57.50
