Do I have to take a foreign language at IU?

<p>I already have 4 classes already picked. I was curious if i have to take a foreign language too. I've taken 3 years of Spanish in high school, and I'm already aware of the foreign placement test.</p>

<p>It depends on your major but I do believe that most majors do require a foreign language.</p>

<p>Depending on your score on the placement test, you might acquire enough credits to forgo Spanish altogether. I myself placed into S250 and so I only had to take 1 semester of Spanish to fulfill the requirements for my major.</p>

<p>^ No, but there is a six hour international requirement which can be fulfilled with a foreign language.</p>
