Do I HAVE to take Physics to get into Medicine?

My mom says I can' get into medicine unless I do physics and get to calculus. I can't get in with just PRE- CALCULUS and NO physics?

Help!

If you want to get into med school, you're going to have to go thru undergrad at college beforehand... and apply to med school later... so you should worry about getting into college first xP

I'm pretty sure that you'll have to take physics and calc during college because those are pretty basic classes... it'd be a good idea to take physics and calc in high school because it'll prepare you for those tough college classes later on.

and don't worry.. physics isn't THAT bad of a class.. i didn't want to take it either, but it turned out to be pretty fun in the end. :D

same here, i thought i would hate it. I love it now I made a great choice choosing to take it senior year. Calc is also a class I love, although I am not always good at it and it takes lots of studying.

a semester of college calculus and a year of college physics for science majors are required courses for medical school. A good high school foundation in these subjects will increase your odds of success in college.

Calculus is fun and easy anyways.

There is physics on the MCAT anyway. Learn the stuff.
