Do i match?

Can i be competitive as an out - stater? how does admission for out of staters stack up to that of UVA? I thought UVA was tougher but you guys take less kid from out of state? Am i match? Is there enough for kids intersted in poly sci and gov (oppurtunities, lectures, guests, events?)

i will be applying early to penn but...if i don't get in (verry real possibility) is it worth applying to other tough schools like Tufts, Duke, UVA, UNC Chapel Hill, or GT?
ALso- what are your opinions of Emory, George Washington or anywhere else for some one intereste4d in polisci, history or int. relations? What schools get kids into DC internships for congress or the white house etc...?

Sorry to sound like all i care about is UVA- i really am intersted in Chapel Hill but i know the two are compareable and i wanted to know more.

It would still be worth applying, of course. Not all schools follow the same rules when it comes to application. Even some of the best students still get rejections. I'm an instater, but I'd say that you have a pretty good shot. Just keep it up and you never know what might happen.

looks like you got a pretty good shot at getting in to carolina. i recommend applying early action.

and to all those questions about uva, i have no idea, i don't know their stats.

your grades are good, awards are good, test scores good, and you've joined some good clubs, participated and moved up the ranks in them (that always looks good on applicaitions).

if you want to apply to all those schools then go ahead, its your money.

o and don't worry about explaining being a republican then switching parties, the admission officers could care less.

Why not go to Florida for free?

I know Florida is a good school but i'm worried that it will be just a large impersonal education in a town i'm not crazy for along with every other kid in the state and from my high school. I want to new people, places, and challenges.
