my classes are like at each ends of the campus. Lorch > MLB > Denn at consecutive hours. im thinking of getting a bike. but someone said it's winter and bicycle don't really help. :(

I'm pretty sure if there's no snow on the ground, you can ride a bike. Besides, I don't think Michigan's had any snow in a month and a half now.

Don't know that you NEED a bike -- but you certainly can ride your bike to class. Even when it snows, they clear the streets and sidewalks pretty fast. Lorch, MLB and Dennison aren't that far apart. You should be able to make it. What did you do first semester?

that's like the largest distance between any campus buildings!! :( and it's 8th floor Dennison (time needed to wait for lift)! last semester i had to walk between MLB and Denn 2nd floor and I barely made it in time. Lorch to MLB? I tried today...came out of Lorch 10 minutes early and made it to MLB in 20 mintues.

maybe i need a wheelchair instead of a bike.

i had a similar question b4 about lorch to mlb. i have tried it since i asked and it took me about 10 minutes, maybe a little less.

you tried....what? walking or biking?

Lorch to MLB... that's pretty far apart. You should have checked the class locations when you registered. I propose hitchhiking.

I had a class in Lorch, and the kids who had an MLB class right before were always the late ones (slightly after 10 minutes).

Man up, nancy boy.

Back in my day we walked all the way across campus to class. Uphill, both ways. And we had actual cold weather and snow, not this perpetual fall crap.

sorry, i forgot to say i walked it

Ya... well in my days we went barfoot and were blindfolded.....

Last time I brought a bike to Michigan (keep in mind this was for 3 days), it was taken apart...

:'(

I only parked it outside for like 2 hours too...

I second Cvjn. No honor code at Michigan.

man ann arbor sounds like da hood.

i guess d-town wears off on the 'burbs.

My D originally asked for a bike for Christmas. We decided we would wait and get her a second hand (grottier looking the better) one so if someone decides to take it it will not be too much of a loss.

No just buy one of those cheap $60 ones at Wal-Mart. They aren't that bad!

Lorch to MLB is a rough trip. MLB Basement to Dennison took me almost 10 minutes last semester. I don't want to have a bike at U-M, but that trip might make me do it.
