Do I need to take AP Chem to take the SAT II Chem Test? Or will an honors Chemistry class prepare me well enough?

The Subject Test is not as in-depth as AP, but it will go beyond most Honors classes. Supplementing with a preparatory book should suffice.

+1

My AP Chem teacher said that she had 2 students who didn’t even take AP Chem (they took just normal honors chemistry) and they scored above 700. Taking AP Chem will make everything extremely in depth and explicit, although I believe it makes everything more in-depth than what is necessary on the SAT II Chemistry test… but I wouldn’t worry too much about it as long as you took standard chemistry at the very least. If all else fails, just use a study prep textbook.

No. (Honors chemistry and 800.)

What did u use to prepare?

PR. I didn’t need to do that much, but I recommend it for everyone who wants to prepare for the subject test. (Barron’s is way overkill.)
