Do I need to take the ACTs for Wharton?

As a Junior, I need some help delineating what I tests I need to take.

Would there be an advantage to taking the ACTs if I want to apply to Wharton? With or without writing? What’s the point?

Thanks!

I believe that it's required to take the writing section now. You should take the test that you will do best in. There is no advantage taking the ACT over the SAT. The score is the only thing that matters. It's a matter of personal preference. I took both and sent both scores to Penn.

You can take either the ACT or both the SAT and SAT subject tests. I sent in just my ACT scores.

I sent in both, but I did better on the ACT (33) than the SAT (1420 CR+M/2190 highest combined). Really was forced to send in SAT scores because I did pretty well on my SAT IIs (800 Math IIC, 770 US Hist, 720 Chem)

do you think it would be to my disadvantage that i only sent in my ACT scores w/o SATs or SATIIs? i'm quite.. embarressed of the other two but proud of my ACT. hopefully they'll take what I sent.

dsmo, how were the Math IIC and US hist tests? any books you recommend?

whatt is the average ACT score for Wharton?

I sent in just the ACT, and we'll see if they would have preferred SAT's come decision time, haha. They don't publish an average ACT score, as there isn't a large enough percentage of their applicants that take it to give an accurate range. Since they required SAT I and II OR ACT, I thought it wouldn't hurt to just send in ACT's. My scores were: 710 writing, 690 math, 630 critical reading (2030 composite; just took it once), 740 math 2C, 680 physics (didn't bother to take a third SAT II, as I just sent in ACT's to all but one school); 35 english, 35 math, 34 reading, 29 science, 12 essay, 33 composite
