for penn. specifically wharton, you can send ACT with writing instead of the SAT correct? you are not required to send subject tests if u send the ACT too right? what if u want to send one subject test such as math level2. can u do so? by sending this will they see the rest of your SAT grades? thanks.

Yes, you can send just the ACT without any SAT tests (which is what I did and I was accepted to SEAS btw). If you decide to send subject tests, they will see all of your previous SAT test scores.

They do recommend you take the math subject test for Wharton though… but you don’t have to take it

thats annoying… theres no way to just show the SAT subject test for math level2 and not your SAT I scores and other subject tests… can you use score choice?

^^^^^^ Good Q: Can you use score choice?

^Penn doesn’t want you to use score choice. That being said, I don’t know if anyone has ever figured out if they can tell if you used it. I suppose in theory it might be possible…

Penn disallows score choice, from what I’ve heard.

Well here’s my issue: I have a 32 on the ACT, and will be trying for a 34 Composite. My SAT score, which I took without feeling up to par, and with no studying is around a 1900. I don’t know if I will be able to take the SAT before ED apps, and would rather send in my ACT. However, the Subject Score report will show my low SAT score as well when I submit it… Will this hurt my app??

check out the new sat rules. I don;t thimk they see old sat/satII scores anymore unless you send them.

Penn will take your highest score (SAT or ACT) when deciding your admissions in the committee. I do have a friend admitted to Wharton and he only sent in his ACT score.
