Do I need to take the TOEFL for UCs? (Permanent Resident)

I’m applying this fall to UCs (UCR, UCI, UCSD, UCLA, UCB) as a transfer from community college, and i’m not sure whether or not i have to take the TOEFL. I took high school outside the US. That is, English isn’t my native language but English is the primary language of instruction in my home country. There was also this option in the UC Application that tells me to indicate Language of Instruction from grades 6-12, in which I chose English.

I currently have a green card/i’m a permanent resident in the U.S., and would have attended a U.S. community college for 3 years by the time I transfer.
Do I have to take the TOEFL just in case? I’ll definitely book an appointment with my counsellor, but would just like to ask if anyone had an idea right now. I recently submitted a TAG application to UCI, and there was this question asking “Have you taken the TOEFL or IELTS English-language proficiency exam?”, to which I answered “No.”
I don’t know if that’s enough for them to reject my TAG application right away.

Thanks!
