Do I still have a future?

Hi, I'm a high school junior and I'm started to get a little bit worried about my college choices. When I look at the mean statistics I know that I am not to par on some on my categories, the main one being GPA. If somebody here can tell me if I am shooting too high at a college, please tell me.

I'm a male asian

3.1-3.2 GPA (on 4.0 scale) Soph/Junior Year (class of 2009)

Strength of courses: I have 2 AP, 3 honors, and 1 accelerated. Also in gifted program

Class rank , top 1/4 of school out of class of around 500+ . My school is a higher than average school in east PA.

Sat: Reading:550, Writing:520, Math:710
Planning on taking them again in the summer, studying a ton to try to break 1850 or 1300.

After school activities:
Sports: Track, Lacrosse
Clubs: FBLA and others
I also play instruments: guitar and piano.
I also have a job

I am trying to get recruited to a DIII school for lacrosse but if that all falls through I'm applying to Penn State University Park, Uconn, Umass, Pitt, Syracuse, Rutgers, and my fall back school is Temple.

What I want to know is what are my chances to get into Penn State Main or Pitt. I'm worried that my low GPA is not enough to get me accepted. I will be applying to Penn and Pitt and then the other schools.

And heres a random question: does race factor in acceptance?

Honestly, I think your gpa is too low for Penn State University Park or Pitt. I think you have a good shot at all the rest.

Does your guidance office keep records of applicant data from prior years? You may be able to get an idea from that what your chances are at various schools. If you have your heart set on Penn State or Pitt and don't have the scores or GPAs, does either have a program to let you start at one of the satellite campuses and transfer?

My school is like the source of Penn State students. I think I might go to Abington and transfer to main, but I really don't want to be going to a satellite school.

Would I get a better chance if I apply early?

I just did a final calculation of my grades. I would get a 3.33 if I get a B in Math this year (which is kind of unlikely) my GPA so far is 3.25 (Fresh/Soph/Junior). Would I have much more of a chance with the 3.25 or 3.33 because I know I listed 3.10 - 3.2 on my original post.
