Hopes too high?

Hi, I'm a high school junior and I'm started to get a little bit worried about my college choices. When I look at the mean statistics I know that I am not to par on some on my categories, the main one being GPA. If somebody here can tell me if I am shooting too high at a college, please tell me.

I'm a male asian

3.2-3.3 GPA (on 4.0 scale) Fresh/Soph/Junior Year (class of 2009)

Strength of courses: I have 2 AP, 3 honors, and 1 accelerated. Also in gifted program. Planning to take 3 AP and the 3 honors senior year

Class rank , top 1/4 of school out of class of around 500+ . My school is a higher than average school in east PA.

Sat: Reading:550, Writing:520, Math:710
Planning on taking them again in the summer, studying a ton to try to break 1850 or 1300.

After school activities:
Sports: Track, Lacrosse
Clubs: FBLA and others
I also play instruments: guitar and piano.
I also have a job
Community Service: Volunteering and local Chinese school

'm applying to Penn State University Park, Uconn, Umass, Pitt, Syracuse, Rutgers, and my fall back school is Temple.

What I want to know is what are my chances to get into Penn State Main or Pitt. I'm worried that my low GPA is not enough to get me accepted. I will be applying to Penn and Pitt and then the other schools.

I would be applying early for Penn State or Pitt

And heres a random question: does race factor in acceptance?

for PSU main they just go by SAT and GPA so i think you have a good shot same with pitt, rutgers, temple... not sure about uconn and syracuse but i'm pretty sure you have a good chance at all of them. to be on the safe i would just work on gpa if u get it up you would most likely get into all of your schools. good luck.
