Do I still need to be fulltime student in last semester if an UC accept me?

I haven't heard decision from any UC yet, but I'm wondering "if" an UC accept me, do I have to keep 12 units this semester, spring (a full-time studen), to keep the acceptance status? I'm currently have a 8 week class starting next week (the class isn't really have any any impact or UC credit but it's a 3 units class and with it I have total of 14 and if I don't take it I only have 11 units). Do I get a academic probation or something?

No

10 character.

I think I’ve heard of UC Davis requiring full-time status on your last semester. Not sure about the others.

I would definitely let them know that you want to drop the class. Just make sure it does not affect IGETC, prerequisite count and the 60 unit requirement. Opaque is right about Davis. Full time is a requiremtnt for Davis if you TAGed, but I’m not sure for regular applicants.

Davis needs full-time unless you have a valid excuse as to why you cannot. I work full time and cannot go to school fulltime and put that on my TAG and they accepted it.

I am not TAG to any school and the class is not IGETC or UC credit and also I already have 70+ units already so I think it not worth it to have. So anyone know about regular applicant? Thanks.

I’m not full time this year, I don’t have a TAG to a school, and I was accepted to one UC so far. It might only affect your financial aid.
Like mermaker said, contact them before you drop.

You should probably contact them simply because you’re going to change your schedule, but not being full time your last term shouldn’t be an issue.

Last year I was admitted to 7 out of 8 of the UCs, including UC Davis and I only had 9 units my last semester. I was in a similar situation in that I had 70+ units and finished all of my required prereqs and IGETC already. That being said, I knew in November when I submitted the UC app that I would only take 2 classes that spring so I didn’t have to make any changes. You shouldn’t have any issues, but it’s always best to inform them and call before you go through with dropping anything.

@dilapidatedmind Thank for your info. I talked to 2/6 UC reps and my ccc counselor so far and they said it doesn’t matter so I guess full time status requirement only apply to UCD tag only by looking at the requirement.
