Thanks

i think some do for regular decision. but you can check on specific college's websites.

go to collegeboard.com and find the colleges that you are going to apply they show the deadlines for the SAT/ACT scores

Give them a quick call!

I know that Yale, Princeton, Columbia and Harvard accept it

Most colleges say they are Not sure about Jan. test.
Johns Hopkins Does't accept Jan. test.
I am pretty sure about it.

Just know that many schools won't accept January scores if something like a snow storm happens and it's rescheduled. I wouldn't wait that long if I were you.

hopkins does..they said its a little risky, but in the past the scores have made it on time, so just make sure that on ur app u plan to tell em that u wanna take the jan. sat/satiis

yeah, btw i called em about a month ago.

yeah because my genius guidance counselor told me i would be fine but i was just lookin at the collegeboard site and alot of the schools I'm applying to only accept up to Jan 1st. Hopefully if i leave a note in my app they wont mind :(

o well its too late for the December SAT neway so i guess ill just work with what I have

thanks for the replies

mmm.. most colleges deadline is on jan 1st... but they start reviewing ur applic. like 3 weeks after ( they wait until ur SATs results are ready..)!!..

bkm, you could try testing standby if you want.

Hi guys! What do you think, do colleges accept the May SAT?

Thanks

Unlike gery, most colleges have already sent their acceptance letters.

good one gery.. unless you want to apply colleges that dont have deadlines for anything.. the colleges like you can just walk in and fill out application and get accepted.. u know

yeah its still not too late to take the December SAT, you can go as a standby as 19382 said.

Last I checked, most colleges (perhaps about 80%?) DO accept January test scores. That is exactly why the College Board offers the exam in January (it's the very last chance for seniors to take the test in time for the scores to be considered by colleges). Although most college application deadlines are before January 27, the January test scores (which will be released February 15) should arrive in time for many colleges to include into consideration. (But you must rush the scores!) If you are going to take the January exam, you may want to warn your colleges to look out for them and not consider your applications until after the new scores are sent.

Don't quote me on the above, however. The safest bet is to e-mail or call the college directly and find out.

By the way, one potential strategy to consider (assuming your college DOES accept January test scores) is to send the score reports for all the scores up to the December exam, and then take the January test. Then, wait until February 15 to find out your score. If your January test scores are higher, definitely send new score reports in! If not...well, no one has to know. :)

If you take the January test, your score reports will be mailed on March 1.

Unless you rush it.

It can be sent out by Feb 17th if you are fast enough :) I think before Mar can be considered a safe time.

27$ more but if you can raise about 100++ point then it's worth paying.

o wow thanks for the help guys...i didnt know u could send it out by Feb 17th...i have a 2020 now so hopefully i can raise that up and rush my scores in

Thanks again!
