Hey guys, my unweighted GPA was 3.65 between freshman and junior year. However, I took EXTREMELY advanced courses, taking Calc AB as a freshman and finishing my school's math curriculum sophomore year. Due to my rapid advancement in coursework, I took an actual course at an Ivy League university senior year. However, my "enthusiasm" destroyed my GPA.
Are my EC's enough to make me competitive for the Ivies?

What is your class rank or approximate decile?

My school doesn’t rank. However, I would put myself at around 15%

It’s a tough call, even if you had closer to a 4.0 uw GPA, because of the unpredictability of these highly selective schools. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if you got accepted to Cornell (assuming you applied there) but somewhat surprised if you got accepted to H-Y-P, due to your projected decile. Your ECs and awards (National AP Scholar while still in HS) WILL make up for some of your GPA/decile “deficiency”, but not all, imho, particular if you are an unhooked applicant.

Unfortunately, no. You show good potential but then don’t fulfill it. A troubled junior year is extremely hard to overcome at ivies.

I only got 1 B junior year. All my other B’s were in freshman and sophomore year. Does that change anything?
