such as Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan? I saw on a thread that they do but it does not say that elsewhere
I do not believe the Bloomington campus is part of the tuition exchange, only the satellite campuses.
Illinois definitely does not. I’m 99% sure no other states do either.
I live in Ohio - have Kelley DA daughter and Kelley son who graduated in 2016. No reciprocity. Full out of state COA is getting close to $50,000 if you figure in extra mandatory fees, transport, etc. depending what program you are in and what kind of housing you get assigned. Given all the accelerated “updates” needed due to mold in dorms this year, some are wondering if we will see that reflected in higher than usual tuition hikes going forward. Remains to be seen. They used to have a Finish in Four tuition freeze if you were on schedule to graduate in 4 years. It was part of the Bicentennial Strategic plan, but they abolished it after only a year or two. Beyond freshman year, you want to be sure to have a tab on what is happening with rental rate$ in town. In January it was suddenly announced that all returning students that already had signed contracts for next year on campus in upper-classmen housing had those revoked and their option was to go into a an off campus location lottery or opt out and rent from an independent property in town. There are some popular properties that are already accepting housing applications via waitlist for the 2020-21 academic year because of concerns about housing supply, mold renovation timelines, etc.
