Do people accuse you of bragging or being arrogant? It seems like if you have high scores/grades, you can't really share them or someone will say you're bragging. Especially on FaceBook.

Yes. I hate it.

Not like I care if they say their grades. Why do they care if I say mine?

I’m sure I get accused of bragging way more than anyone else on CC. It’s probably because I’m amazing.

^ Im getting close to the 666

im scurred

Yep, happens all the time. When someone asks to see your report card and it’s straight A pluses, or asks for a test grade and it’s a 100, it’s hard for them not to think you’re bragging.

LOL no because I don’t hold my grades like trophies

^What he said… Try it. People won’t “accuse” you of bragging nearly as often and might actually be happy for you.

^Many of my classmates insist on seeing my grades on tests/report cards, even to the point of being offended if I don’t. What do you suggest, then?

I got the third highest state test scores in my english class as a freshmen and they would say “I beat him finally”. Think of it this way all though yes it is a pain in the but, you r setting the standard

I never let anyone see my grades, and I never tell people them.
So what if it makes people think that my A’s are bad grades because naturally if someone doesn’t want you to know their grades they must have F’s.

@Studious IMO, your classmates are in the wrong if they’re offended that you don’t show them your grades. That’s just being nosy. If I don’t want to show someone my grades, I don’t have an obligation to. And they can’t call you a bragger if they don’t know anything for sure.

Omg yes and wen a friend finally does better than u they brag about it…its the worst feeling sometimes cuz it comes from my best friends.

Sent from my SPH-M920 using CC App

I try not to tell people about my grades and ACT score.

I feel it’s like my salary, you know? Anyone who does better than me is gonna feel good about themselves at my expense, and anyone who does worse is going to think I’m an A-hole.

I mean, when other people say they’re scores (even if they’re worse), I feel like they’re bragging.

It sucks when you have a reputation for being smart. Regular kids think I’m some Einstein genius even though I’m top 10-15 in the class (I’m not “popular”, just “well known”, so that might help). I’ll admit, I have a problem with letting people know my scores (I guess you could say bragging, but I’d rather not). If you ask anyone, my 32 ACT is the highest in the school, but I personally kow highers scores from the more secluded/awkward/modest people in my AP class. I’m starting to feel like they deserve more praise than I do, so I try to refrain from bragging (when I can control it).

The problem is now all the kids know I’m a good student/test taker and they always want to know my scores. And like someone said earlier, they get offended when you dont tell them, yet when they hear your score they dont want to give away theirs

The funniest is if you do well on something and you’re not going out to tell anyone or talk about it, then someone goes up to you and says “How’d you do?” You tell them your score, and they go, “I hate you.”

^I’ve had that exact dialogue with someone. Weird…

In my Chemistry class there was this kid that would always ask me what score I’ve got in either the test or quiz or final, just to see if he got a better score than mine (which is stupid, since both of us got A’s…).

THE WORST IS WHEN SOMEONE SCORES HIGHER THAN YOU AND THEY SAY “OMG I BEAT …” - ****es me off to no end

I post all my grades on Facebook regularly. All the idiots at my school deserve to feel like idiots.

statlanta- exactly. Its the most annoying thing in the world. Maybe we should celebrate the other 98% of the time
