Do people ride back on campus?

Do people ride bike or do mostly people get around in shuttles.....or only a few longboard around campus and bike...

Thanks,

All of the above. You’ve got bikers, long boarders, people who take the busses, and people who walk.

Whatever works for you, will be done by many others.

No. On an entire campus around 450 acres, not a single student bikes around.

LOL

Coming from UF maybe we should start the scooter trend here lazman. Lol.

You have a bit of everything. Most likely, chances are that whatever mode of transportation you’re going to use to get to class is something there’s hundreds, if not thousands, of others doing already.

ooooooooooohhhhhh I just noticed I spelled BACK instead of BIKE :(

lol.

Yeah even professors you see around campus riding bikes here at UF it’s kinda funny. There’s professor probably making 100k a year riding a bicycle… i saw the dean of my college riding a bicycle sometime in February.

Point is alot of people ride bike here at UF and longboard around campus and I was thinking of potentially buying a road bike for FSU to get around.

Damien: Make one!! lol. Even though I know nothing about scooters except they get 100 miles to the gallon.

Thanks for all the inputs,

Laz, i’d definitely recommend a good solid mountain or road bike (which i think you are headed for)
Other than the fact that cruisers are rather hipster, road and mountain bikes will offer better brakes (needed for freshman who like to stop and talk about which dorm their in, in the middle of a sidewalk).
Mountain i’d say only because Tallahassee is oh so hilly!

I suggest getting a bell for your bike. When I was taking the tour you wouldn’t even notice some bikers and they nearly run people over. The ones that had the bells were great bc everyone was warned and moved out of the way.

I saw a single speed road bike for sale in Wal-Mart today for only $99 that would be great for FSU–it caught my eye in the store because it had garnet and gold colored wheels and tires!
