Just wondering.

Not with that kind of grammar.

I’m the mom and yes my grammar is not perfect. Hispanic, second language:) My son already has a likely letter from Penn

I got the grammar mistake now that I reread it again, lol

Yes, I would love to know this too! Also, are the likely letters for everyone or just URMs? I know that at Vanderbilt they only send likely letters to URMs who have been selected to a MOSAIC program; is it similar at Princeton?

I am only aware of Princeton issuing likely letters to recruited athletes and through the Questbridge program.

@Cbatarseh: different colleges use LLs for different target groups. There is no pattern to discern. If Cantiger’s post is true, P isn’t issuing any more since athlete signingss and QB windows have long passed.

Except for recruited athletes (who often must decide to pass on an NLI offered by a D1 school and need a somewhat analogous “offer”), Likely Letters are marketing gimmicks designed to excite the student and, if lucky, sway a student to select that school. (But, it’s always nice to be wanted. And, it’s sure great to know early that you’re getting into a great school!)

I’ve heard that Penn, Yale, Dartmouth, Stanford have had their likely’s sent out. It would be cool if someone who got one from Princeton could update us.

My son got one from Penn (non athlete). The other schools I heard they send them out already
