Do SAT scores have a huge impact on your admissions process at Skidmore?

For instance I made a 580 Math and 620 Verbal but my GPA is a strong 3.81, tough challenging classes, high interest in the college, great recs and extra currics...
But will my SAT scores keep me out of Skidmore?

1200 SAT might be borderline low, unless there is something about you that differentiates you from other similarly positioned applicants. I’d consider re-taking the SAT again this fall, and if Skidmore is truly your first choice, do an on-campus interview and then apply ED II.

Skidmore looks at the whole picture rather than just your grades/SATs. If your interest, ECs, grades, schedule are good you should be fine. Make sure they know you’re interested-take a tour, do an interview, they do notice interest level.

Thanks alot for your responses! I upped my scores a little bit to a CR 640 and a math score of a 600.
I have a lot of ECs and other qualities like leadership positions (Junior and Senior class officer, Honor Council Member, School Proctor, School tour guide) and involvement in my school community.
