Let's say I barely fit into the lower end of a college's recommendations for GPA and SAT scores. If the school does accept me for some reason, does that mean I would find the courses there too challenging? I guess my question is, do these scores really predict success in college or are they just used by colleges as a selection tool?

The last article I read years ago correlated scores with FIRST year success only. That was for the SAT, ACT and MCAT.
