Do test results take longer to get for special accomodations for the ACT ?

I have heard that test results for the ACT take a bit longer to get for students with special accomodations. I was not sure if this was fact or fiction. If it is true, I was just curious as to why this was. No big deal, but I would like to have the score by Sept 20th if possible. My son took his first ACT test last week.

I know the percentiles as well as the essay take longer to get. However, he is more interested in the 4 sub scores and composite score.

Thanks

The two kids with special accommodations at our school received their scores the first release day. This was for composite and subscores; I don’t believe they do writing score back yet.

Thanks for the info @SoCalCoastal . FYI, my DD with accommodations is still waiting, but it might be unrelated.
