would these count more as a hobby or an actual extracurricular activity?
- I have been developing Iphone applications since sophomore year. I currently have 2 apps on the apple app store.
- during the summer after junior year, i did a paid software engineering internship where i made an Iphone app which 51 hospitals bought.
so yea could i list these as extracurriculars and how will they appear to admission committe?
Of course they are. They are good ECs, definitely put them on your application. Now… be careful describing your role on the hospital app. There is a difference between something accomplished as part of a team vs a solo effort. You could use the additional information section if you need space to bullet out or briefly describe them. Be concise, though.
Can you provide me a link to the apps you’ve produced? I’ll like to check them out.
@Shadowsych remove the spaces
@Shadowsych
if you have an apple device, you can just search them on the app store
one is names “clinterms”
another is named “College visit”.
Not s good idea to post the links…
@intparent so would message work?
giving links to your work can reveal who you are…proceed at your own risk.
@intparent
yea thats true but if the website had personal info on it, i wouldnt post it.
Its just the site about the product and what it does
Has no personal info at all except an email for support and sales related questions
If you are paid, don’t we generally call that “work”, “job” or “work experience”?
