My plan as of now is to attend a junior college for 2 years and then try to transfer into a respectable private university. To put a long story short, I fell into a huge pit of senioritis which left me with heavy injuries (i.e. D and F in first semester). As a result, I already withdrew all my applications to private universities in hopes of starting with a new, clean slate.
After 2 years in JC, when i'm getting ready to apply as a transfer applicant to top schools, will i have to send my high school records as well? i sincerely hope not...

Yes, high school record will be required. Anyone going to a college has to provide it to prove he graduated from high school. As to whether they will actually use it for admission, that is a different issue and depends on college. Many colleges, if transferring into junior year use college grades for transfer decision and ignore high school grades and test scores. However, others, particularly your more elite colleges, still consider those as part of the decision to admit. Note, if you try to transfer earlier than into junior year, far more will use them.

It depends on the school. The top private colleges mostly still require HS records and SATs.
