Do transfer students study-abroad?

I would like to transfer after my sophomore year and am very interested in studying abroad for maybe a semester. What is the likelihood of one being able to do that? Is that allowed and can one graduate on time>

Most private universities have a 2 year residency requirement and/or want you to finish half of the required units for the B.A. (60 units) at their school, so since you'll be a sophmore transfer, I think you may qualify for one.

I think it mainly depends on the school you are applying to. Check their study-abroad programs and if students like yourself qualify.

Yeah it really depends on the university...it seems that most in the top 20 have a two year residency requirement, which I guess doesn't leave open the option of studying abroad for a semester. Summer study abroad may be a possibility though...
