study abroad after transferring?

This may be a silly question but...with most schools having residency requirements for graduation, how is study abroad counted? like if the school has a two year residency requirement does that mean that study abroad is included in that or would it two years + study abroad time?
thanks!

I'm not 100% on this so don't quote me, but I think that the two years doesn't include studying abroad. That may vary by school or individual situation, though, so I'd advise you to contact whatever school you're interested in and ask.

I transferred this year and am going to study abroad- the school said I could do that, but when I got here I found out I needed 60 credits here, not including study abroad. Unless your school has a campus in the country you're going to you'll be transferring in those credits. Are you a freshman? I transferred in about 60 credits, but if you only have a year behind you then you should be able to graduate on time. Or look into a summer study abroad session. Find out the number of credits you need to take at the school and assume that they all need to be taken through the school.
