I went to CSU I didn't do very well, didn't know what major I wanted. I been going to CC now , been doing very well. Now I want to transfer to a UC ,will I have show I went CSU since they don't have a transfer agreement? If I do how will this effect chance of getting in? Any help is appreciated.

yes you have to send in your transcripts . There is a maximum number of units allowed for people in your sitution. Anything over 80 units and you will not be considered for admission. If all of your units are from CC that wouldnt apply but becuase you have CSU units also that does apply to you..

What UC do you want to go to?

You can do guranteed admission programs in you CC for many of the UCs and then it will not impact your chances

Almost all my units are from cc and 6 are from csu but its still under under. I want goto UCSC. I know I will get with my CC course work, but I don't know what CSU will do since it was less than 2.0. I am having conflicting advices some people are telling me since none of the coursework I did at csu is transferable I don't need to included, and if I do I won't be able to transfer. Also been told they don't check if you went to a csu.

You want to go to UCSC- most community colleges have a guranteed transfer program with SC.

Omitting transcripts can bite you in the a** real bad at the end of the day. So bad that they can revoke your admission or even your degree once you have it

IF your classes will not transfer than thats great, for it will not impact your UC gpa, but omitting that you went there altogether is stupid.

Just sign the agreement, finish the units, and mention that you went to CSU.

Can I still sign the agreement, I have most of classes done? I do that at the counselors office? Also I went 2 different cc do I sign one with each school? Thanks for your help

You probably have more units at one CC than at the other, that is the one where you sign the agreement.

What CC's do you go to, you have to see if they offer the agreement.

You sign the agreement b4 you complete all the courses, it might have courses on it that you didnt take yet.

Make sure that the CC where you sign the agreement has all of your transcripts from your other CC.

What two CCs do you attend? go to their websites, they should have a list of the agreement they participate in and what is required for each.

I went evergreen and san jose city, when I sign up for the agreement should I tell them I went to a CSU? You think I will be able to apply for next fall?

Well you missed the deadline to apply for next fall.

Transfer Center

by the way, these two colleges appear to be in the same district, so they should already share your transcripts.

I tried going there today they were already close, hopefully I can apply for winter. Thanks again for the help.

drifto2k, I take it you haven't been on the UC online application site yet?

It says very matter of factly that you have to list all schools attended, no matter if you completed any classes or not. You have to list them all.

It won't harm your chances.

Good luck!

No edward I haven't started the application yet, I still want talk to a counselor to see if better for to apply for fall or winter. You say it won't harm my chances does that mean they don't look at the GPA just that I went there?

if the class doesnt transfer it is NOT calculated into your UC gpa

I just finished my app, you guys are saying it won't harm my chances but when they look at my app won't the bad grades from csu look really bad?

The University of California makes decisions based on your GPA (UC transferable for some schools/majors, overall GPA for others), not based off of letter grades on your transcript.
