Do UCs count past grades from past university/college outside CA?

Okay so I got an email "Your UC application, Immediate Response Requested"

Here's the detail of email:
"We are in the process of reviewing your application. Before we can complete our review and reach an admission decision, we need the following information from you:

During time between your high school graduation and the Fall 2012 term at LA City College did you attend any college or university? If so, please submit scanned copies of transcripts from all schools attended during that time. Transcripts may be official or unofficial."

I graduated high school in 07 spring -> Attended a State University outside CA 07 Fall to 08 Fall.

My question is, Do UCs count in past grades that I DID NOT INCLUDE in the UC application? (also THESE GRADES don't COUNT as UC TRANSFERABLE COURSES since it's in different state).

Do they just want to see what I've done during the education GAP?

I would assume you breached the academic integrity clause by not reporting all institutions you attended. I would report that information. National student clearinghouse has a record of every college you attended. It takes a matter of seconds to pull up your records.

If they emailed you that they may have already went through your records and just want prove if you lied to them.

Well I mentioned that Ive attended a state university before attending CCC in my UC application. I feel like they want a proof via transcript. I sent them an unofficial transcript after reading the email. My concern is would they calculate the gpa from that specific state university which is 3.4. (CCC gpa is 3.9).Or are they just checking my background/gap prior to attending CCC.

^ They will calculate all the classes that transfer over into your UC GPA. If you repeated that class and earned a higher grade the first one sticks if it transfers into the UC. I think they want your transcripts to verify what transfers and what doesn’t. GPA might be lower.

Just because it’s OoS doesn’t mean it’s not transferable. Half of my credits were from a CC in Maryland, a majority of that coursework articulated after I transferred to UCB. Yes, those grades and classes matter, assuming they’re transferable. And unless it’s like, life skills 101 or remedial math, chances are those classes will transfer.

I would suggest submitting transcripts ASAP and making a note that you didn’t think any of the classes were transferable, and that that’s why you didn’t include them initially.

But I didnt report the grades that I took outside CA in my UC application. U guys think UCs will automatically calculate the grades that I didnt report in the application? Hmmm my assumption of the email was that UCs just want whether or not I attended a school during the gap between high school graduation & attending CCC. Yes ive already sent them the unofficial transcript explaining the gap.

They will calculate them. It’s a guarantee. So your GPA will probably be lower. Your repeated courses won’t count either.

It states in several places on the UC application to include ALL grades from previous colleges, even if you don’t think they will transfer. The UC’s will probably not “automatically” count the grades from your out-of-state college that you didn’t report, but they probably will automatically deny your admission based on the fact that omitted your grades from your other school. When submitting your application online, you “sign” your name to an agreement, part of the agreement states that you have included all of your previous coursework. The UC’s do not like accept students who lack honest academic integrity.

If I were you, I would call and see if you can somehow amend your application to include the coursework from your out-of-state college.
