<p>Hi everyone. I just finished my first year of community college, and I plan on transferring to UC Berkeley in fall 2012 as a mechanical engineering major. However, I'm also applying to UCI (with TAG), UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, and UCD. I was wondering if these UCs look at your application before the GPA update in January? If they do, then that would be better for me since I will be applying with a 3.85 GPA. I'm not saying that I won't do well next semester, but I would feel less tense if I knew that they won't count next semester against my application.</p>
