Hi so my parents just filed their 2015 tax return and I was wondering, am I suppose to send it into USC? I understand there’s the financial aid part where I put in numbers from the tax information into the USC form, but do we send USC the 2015 tax return itself?
Hey, I just turned in several tax documents for USC. My parent entered the numbers & submitted it, then USC asked for a “Copy of parent’s 2015 federal income tax return for verification”. Not sure what comes after that, but I hope that’s the last piece…and hope this answer helps
@darkhound173 assuming you entered your information in CSS first, you should check your profile on the USC website. In the financial section it should show what forms they need from you.
For my sons financial aid we were asked to provide: FAFSA, CSS Profile, Students non-filer form, my business tax return (first five pages), parents tax information form, 1040, and we just got a request to provide proof of medical/dental expenses (every year we have a lot of medical expenses). I also went back into FAFSA to use that IRS transfer tool to confirm with USC that the numbers I entered were correct.
I’m constantly checking to see what they want next.
