I believe that my personal statements are unique and better than average.
I know that I am not getting into UCLA, Cal, or USC. And I am not really worried about my safety schools ( CSULB, Pomona, and San Jose State), but I am worried about the others. I know that my gpa is fairly low, but I took very rigorous courses. I hope that my target schools( UW, UCSB, Cal poly Slo, and UCI) recognize my full schedule and maybe overlook my disappointing gpa. Do you guys think this is the case? Thank you so much for your time.
U of Oregon: Match
UW: High Match
UCSB: High Match (you will get in for Undeclared not Chem Engineering)
UCI/UCD: Low Reach
UCLA/UCB/USC: Reach
SLO: High Match (Chemistry)
you have the best breakdown with that score in my opinion. Your SAT II’s are very good as well, you have a good shot at some UC’s. If you are full pay then i believe you’ll get into one UC at least between irvine, dais and SB
UoW: low reach
UofO: match
UCSB: low reach
UCLA/UCB/USC: high reach (these schools are very impacted in your major)
CSUs: low match.
Poly: I’m honestly not familiar enough.
So I don’t feel that confident about my post as 1) I’m not very familiar with tech and science programs (I’m a social science person) 2) although you have a really great course load, you didn’t day much about Extracurriculars. Sorry If I wasn’t incredibly helpful.
