Do you ever do things that make you nostalgic? What do you think of nostalgia?

I saw the commercial for the 3ds version of the N64 game Zelda Ocarnia of Time and it brought me back to my childhood. I have been looking up the music to it and it gives me a comforting feeling. Occationally some people in high school (i'm a senior) play pokemon on their old gameboys, which I think they do because it brings them that comfort, happiness, and security of childhood. I could spend like $250 and buy it, but do you think it is worth it or is the past something I shouldn't dwell on? What I'm trying to say is childhood nostalgia healthy because it comforts you when you are feeling stressed or insecure? Is it worth it? I don't really have anything that brings me back as well and powerfully.

And do you do anything that makes you nostalgic? Do you find it healthy or unhealthy?

I never really thought about nostalgia untill I saw that commercial.

What do you think.

Maplestory.

^Thank Goodness, Thought I Was The Only One To Do That

Today while cleaning I ran into cassette tapes with a bunch of old alt. rock songs mostly. So I decided to go through and listen + add some old songs to my current playlist.

However, now I ran into a cassette with middle school band concert on it lol. Much nostalgia.

I played numerous games with my dad when I was younger, including Zelda. I just looked up music on youtube and can say that my eyes teared up a little bit. Nostalgia is definitely an interesting concept and hard to fully grasp. There’s nothing wrong or unhealthy about it though. It’s just another part of what makes us human.

I have become rather bored with reality itself lately, So I have made up my own plans for spicing up my life

I call them the 3 rules of Anti-Insanity

Never do something that endangers somebody else (Punching a random person in the face)

Keep it clean (No making out with dead corpses)
3.Never do anything insane (Steal a car)

Since we’re on the topic of games…Neopets! lol

Ignore first post, the other post got deleted and I never liked MapleStory.

Uhhhh but going away from games I remember watching things like this, this, and this when I was younger.

EVERYTHING. Video games, music, television, people, pictures, places…

And I’m only 17.

OH MY GOD.
I had like the treasure map and was so proud.
One time I got onto the top monthly scoreboard for some game. I printed out the page as proof.

Ahhh maplestory, good times.

I seem to only get nostalgic about video games.

Some of the games I played alone along time ago that I’ve revisited recently: Super Mario 64, Paper Mario 64, Animal Crossing

Some of the games I used to play with my older siblings/their friends: Super Mario Bros. 3, Mario Kart, old Dreamcast games. Good times :/

Maplestory.

I still play Paper Mario and Animal Crossing, and Mario Kart. :P

I broke out the Gamecube and SNES. I’m playing Super Smash Brothers and crying because, me and my brother got along so great back then. :'(

Pokemon, hands down.

listening to outkast, michael jackson, and watching mtv, and watching movies/shows from 1994-2006, idk why but they make me feel happy  im listening to outkast right now :)

Pokemon, PlayStation 1, and Ramen noodles.

Also going on Itunes and looking at their special playlists organized by year makes me very nostalgic.

@quomodo I totally spent all my money getting the lab ray and the petpet lab ray. Fun times. I also really, really wanted a petpetpet.

^^^ OutKast. Is. The. ****. :)
