This will probably turn into a rant that no one will read, but here I go…

The fact that many high school seniors (not that I don’t say ALL, because ALL high school seniors DEFINITELY DO NOT attend a four-year school, or any college at all, straight out of high school) wish to advance their education in the first place is a commendable feat in itself. Maybe it’s not due to the fact that they genuinely enjoy learning in school- after all, we humans have stupidly crafted this existence for ourselves that is reliant upon how much money you can earn in your lifetime, which generally correlates with your level of education- but at least they want to get out there and DO SOMETHING with their lives. All colleges in the United States have one main goal, and that’s to prepare young adults to enter the workforce. It has been argued constantly that there is no such thing as a “bad” college, and one person’s Random State University may be another person’s Harvard.

What is prestige when it comes to college, anyway? The human mind’s competitive nature feeling the need to categorize schools based upon STUPID factors such as acceptance rates. An Ivy League graduate is no better of a person than an unknown liberal arts school graduate, no matter how much some elitist *******s like to argue.

I have absolutely no respect for people who live, breathe, eat, and sleep USNWR rankings and take them to heart. I’m sick of people who condemn various colleges simply because of all the “idiots” in attendance. Get over it, because in life, you’ll come across many, many idiots. God knows I’m only seventeen and I’ve met enough idiots to last me a lifetime.
