My brother does....
Whenever he hears a girl goes to San Jose State school or community college, he immediately think she's a stupid person and she's just another human out of a million...
He ends up thinking stuff like people who go to Berkeley are supremely worth more than someone who goes to UC Davis.

When he meets someone who says she's from Harvard, he tells me it feels like the gravity rose 10x and he's like kneeling before this Harvard person's "greatness."
Its like just the name Harvard like scares the living crap out of you...lol

Never. I think it’s pretty stupid to judge someone like that. I do know some people who are like that though. To them, reputation and prestigious mean everything.

I thought so…its kinda disgusting in a way. But people in my dad’s company were like that…i just thought maybe the whole world out there could be like my brother.

Unfortunately I do… like if I hear someone is going to community college i just assume they are dumb or something. I actually liked a guy a lot until I found out what college he went to. I wish I wasnt like that but im driving myself insane to try to get myself that “prestige” Its horrible I know but truth is people are like that

I think I do to some extent. If someone goes to Harvard, I do think “Oh, s/he must be smart.” If someone goes to OSU, I don’t have that thought. I don’t really have any thoughts about it.

I despise everyone who goes to Utica. Go anywhere else, or don’t go to college at all, but if you join the Legion of Doom Utica I will not rest until you are destroyed.

Yes. I have an unreasonable despise for current Caltech students/graduates. Oh, and if they go to local CCs I assume that they were lazy in HS and not particularly bright… my own experience from being in a CC class.

Unfortunately yes. Like if I hear someone is going to Rutgers, that immediately has bad connotations, and probably goes for most people from NJ.

Not to that extent, but when I hear that so-and-so goes to 1st-tier school, I automatically assume that that person has a degree of intelligence at least a bit higher than the average, whereas I reserve judgment for those in “lower-tiered” schools.

^ Lol, as for Rutgers, I personally know a lot of people who go there - some who are far smarter than I am - so I won’t say anything bad. But when I think of the average student at RU, I think just that. They’re just average. Whereas I might assign traits and characteristics to the “average” kid at any other higher ranked school.

I do, to some extent. It’s not like I’ll decide to not like someone because they didn’t go to college at a really good school. Mostly it helps more than it can hurt in my judgment of people.

Good job pro! I’m proud of you. We’ll welcome you with open arms here at State :).

Anyway, I’m not gonna lie… I dislike many U of M people. The majority of them that I have met immediately scoff at the fact that I go to MSU. I am starting to be conditioned to the fact that many of them will look down at me so I should just avoid them. It’s sad because I’ve been a UMich fan my whole life before I went to MSU.

i judge everyone on everything, its how i form opinions of them. if im actively judging someone based on what college they go to, its usually because im impressed, like they go to cooper or princeton or something. a lot of people i know go to CCs or w/e, so i dont really think less of people because of their academic choices

in terms of Rutgers, one of my friends announced in his AP physics class that he got into Rutgers and people actually laughed. i live in central new jersey.

Haha yea, over here the question isn’t whether you get a full ride or not, otherwise it’s detriment to your ego lol. A lot of people here go as well, and I perceive them as average students. Although sometimes, it’s merely money issues, in which I can’t blame them.
