Do You Get a Cal Grant A Taken Away From You/Owe Funds?

Hello, another question I probably should have asked my financial aid office, but now they are on holidays (yikes!). Anyway, I am currently a Cal Grant A recipient. I am a second year student at UCSD, and just finished Fall Quarter. However, I believe I will be withdrawing for two quarters and be attending a community college to prioritize my health. But I am wondering: what will happen to my Cal Grant A? Will it be put on hold? Will I have to pay something back? I am afraid of withdrawing, and then having to pay something back, especially since I pushed myself to finish Fall quarter to avoid owing any funds.

Also, what will happen to my other forms of financial aid when I do return to either UCSD, or a different UC/CSU?

Sorry if these are dumb questions :’-0 I am just so overwhelmed currently

If you go to the website you can read about how the CalGrant works.

If you are going to go to a CC, you can place your Cal Grant on hold.https://www.csac.ca.gov/post/how-do-i-place-my-cal-grant-hold

Remember, you only get an equivalent of 4 years total. Do not access your Calgrant while you are at the CC because you will use up the CalGrant. You need the money for the university. They wont replace funds.
