Do you get paid for good grades?

<p>Ahaha I had a 4.0 W GPA until junior year, when my parents thought that if they paid me, I would get my grades up to more A’s. </p>

<p>Little did they know I would get a 4.8 both semesters.
And I completely forgot about the money–I was personally motivated, and by the time my parents were like “Uh oh…gotta pay her now…” I wasn’t thinking about the money, but rather my better chances of getting into great colleges. </p>

<p>Money’s a nice bonus, but college is the ultimate payoff.</p>

<p>Ever since elementary school, my mom told my siblings and I that we didn’t have to do our homework unless we wanted to (we all did anyway at that age because it was fun!). My grades were crappy from about 5th grade through 9th grade, when I realized on my own that it was important for my future to get good grades if I wanted to go to a good college. My GPA went from 2.85 freshman year to 3.6 sophomore, 3.85 junior, and 4.0 senior. As cheesy as it sounds, the pride I now have in my grades and academic success is worth more than any rewards my parents could have afforded to give me.</p>

My moms happy when she sees my As, but would kill me if i got a B, but i never do so :smiley: or so far i havent at least… My dads more lax, he’s happy to see the As but he says that even if I got a B or C he wouldn’t care as long as I tried
